Purpose

CCS is a community for learning, but it’s also a community for building friendships with like-minded people. Members come to CCS for the content, but they stay for the friendships they make. The friendships/vibe lead is a high-impact role responsible for leading the creation of experiences which enable members to make meaningful connections with each other. Consider this design prompt: how do you create relationships between people that lead to them attend each other’s weddings? How do we create wedding friends? How do you create vacation friends?

Guidelines

• Continually design and redesign the structure of the CCS Discord to reflect the goals and learnings of the community
• Take ownership by developing and running experiments which help friendships grow
• Continual engagement and moderation of Discord channels, helping to facilitate meaningful conversations which bring members of the community together
• Create conversational spaces and run informal social events that foster real connections between members of the CCS community, such as book clubs and meet + greets
  • Being inclusive of introvert / extrovert dynamics in both async and live settings
• Develop and maintain enough knowledge about members of the CCS community to make thoughtful, mutual opt-in personal introductions where it makes sense
• Experiment with IRL events
